| Our new family adventure this past week was adding urban backyard egg laying chickens. We did this for many reasons, we feel it is important that the boys learn where their food comes from and the hard work that it involved. Another reason is because the boys can't have pets inside due to their allergies and asthma, and lastly, the boys can earn some money and take responsibility by selling their fresh farm eggs! We have had the chickens now for a week and we are totally in love them! I also have to add in there, I am no longer the outnumbered female in the house--there are actually 5 females to 4 males in our household now. I guess the females now rule the roost! :) | | |  |
